The is responsible for systems that provide the optimal use of Global Knowledge Group resources and analytics to support the global alignment, cost effectiveness, deployment, and integration of these systems. This role works closely with key cross-functional partners including regional affiliates, Medical Affairs, Business Development, and multiple elements of the R&D organization around the world and provides systems input and expertise in the development of Celgene s Global Knowledge Group strategy. Core Responsible for systems that provide the optimal use of Global Knowledge Group resources and analytics to support the global alignment, cost effectiveness, deployment, and integration of these systems. Partners closely with key cross-functional partners including regional affiliates, Medical Affairs, Business Development, and multiple elements of the R&D organization around the world and provides systems input and expertise in the development of Celgene s Global Knowledge Group strategy. Provides taxonomy and information system services involving clinical, business and government document databases, literature and all other appropriate resources to support the scientific, regulatory and business needs of Celgene to assigned stakeholder groups and in support of therapeutic area teams. Responsible for managing and championing the GKG technology and portal strategies including ensuring access to newsletters and other high value business relevant information resources. Partners with the GKG Procurement and Information Management teams in the identification of information needs and end user experience and participates in the execution of collection development strategy. Leads all SharePoint or portal related projects including the analysis, design, development and deployment of SharePoint solutions which demonstrate best practices. Combines internal and external sources of data to paint a clear picture of GKG stakeholders and how they engage with our products and services. Transforms information and analysis into insights to drive continued growth, usage and value of GKG products to stakeholders. Shares responsibility for having knowledge and complying with copyright laws, vendor licensing restrictions and (EMA, FDA, PMDA, etc.) restrictions regarding the provision of scientific and business information. Contributes in the evaluation, choice and acquisition of databases, websites, journals, books, documents, government documents, contracts, library equipment, library software and technology and their vendors. Partners with GKG leadership in implementing process optimization and administration initiatives and in support of a world-class information services function. Serves as subject matter expert on select departmental operational databases and repositories, including SharePoint, and demonstrates aptitude in the use of project planning/management tools. Skills/Knowledge Required Bachelor s degree in biological, health, or information sciences from an accredited college or university combined with 2-4 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech or related healthcare industry. Master's Degree in Information Science from an accredited program or international equivalent preferred. Familiarity with technology issues and best practices in libraries and knowledge groups, including some combination of experience with integrated library systems, authentication, collections analysis systems, open source development, digital scholarship, machine learning, accessibility and/or user experience design. Excellent collaboration, networking and community engagement skills. Ability to work within a group setting, facilitate discussion and build consensus. Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to work well with external and internal stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving skills and creative thinking ability. Expert with SharePoint and other systems to facilitate content workflows, processes and best practices for accessing and integrating electronic resources. Technical proficiency with optimizing data collection, database design, taxonomies, data mining and modeling and analysis. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and capacity to understand and interpret information received from system users. Demonstrate ability to be flexible, manage change, and multi-task on urgent projects. Excellent computer skills and demonstrated knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and project management software.
